The Power of Personal Choice in God’s Plan
Have you ever wondered why some people seem to walk so confidently in their God-given purpose while others struggle to find their way? The answer often lies in a crucial truth that many believers overlook: purpose-driven life begins with a personal, conscious choice.
“Then Moses said, ‘I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.'” – Exodus 3:3
The Three Pillars of Divine Purpose
Through Moses’s extraordinary journey, we discover three essential elements that shape every believer’s path to purpose:
1. The Turning Point
Every significant spiritual journey begins with a divine encounter. For Moses, it was the burning bush – a supernatural moment that forever changed his life. But here’s what many don’t realize: Moses had to choose to “turn aside” and investigate. He could have walked past that burning bush, dismissing it as just another desert phenomenon.
2. The Trust Factor
Following your turning point, trust becomes the foundation of your relationship with God. Moses demonstrated this when he declared:
“If Your presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.” – Exodus 33:15
3. The Timing Element
God’s timing is often different from our preferred schedule. Many believers fall into the trap of saying, “I’ll serve God after…” – after graduation, after marriage, after retirement. But consider this sobering truth:
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.” – Ecclesiastes 9:10
Breaking Through Your Personal Barriers
What’s holding you back from your divine encounter? Perhaps you’re waiting for the perfect moment or the perfect circumstances. But here’s the truth: God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called. Moses was a fugitive shepherd when God called him to lead a nation.
The Promise of Divine Guidance
God offers this incredible promise to everyone seeking their purpose:
“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” – Jeremiah 33:3
This verse reveals three powerful truths:
- Divine Invitation: God invites us to initiate the conversation
- Guaranteed Response: He promises to answer
- Supernatural Revelation: He will show us things beyond our current understanding
Your Divine Appointment Starts Now
Here’s what makes this message urgent: Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. Many believers have carried dreams in their hearts that never materialized because they waited too long to act on God’s calling.
The 7-Day Challenge
I challenge you to take these specific steps over the next week:
- Spend 15 minutes daily in silent prayer, asking God to reveal His purpose for your life
- Journal any impressions or directions you receive
- Take one concrete step toward what you believe God is calling you to do
- Share your journey with at least one trusted believer
Moving Forward in Faith
Remember this crucial truth: In the Kingdom of God, nothing is impossible. Your current circumstances – whether you’re in Macau or anywhere else – don’t limit God’s ability to use you powerfully.
Don’t fall into the trap of thinking you know it all. Even if you’re already serving God, He has “great and mighty things which you do not know” waiting for you. Your next divine encounter could be just around the corner.
A Prayer for Purpose
Let’s close with this prayer:
Father, like Moses, we want to experience our burning bush moment. Give us the courage to turn aside from our routine and encounter You in a fresh way. Help us trust You completely and act in Your perfect timing. Show us the great and mighty things You have prepared for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
